Hello and welcome to the site of Médiation-en-Seine

This (voluntary) organisation was founded in 2008 by two company managers and a lawyer, trained in mediation techniques, who have held or currently hold, high level positions in a professional as well as an employer’s capacity.
Mediation as it is practiced today was developed in the seventies in the USA, under the ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) acronym, as an alternative to the costly and lengthy American legal proceedings. Mediation, in its present form, has been known in France since the nineties and it constitutes one of the alternatives for conflict resolution.
Mediation is thus a confidential process in which a neutral, independent and impartial third party facilitates the dialogue between the conflicting parties, with a view to reaching an agreement. Mediation does not aim at giving a solution to the parties involved in a conflict but to help them find their own solution, the principle being that in most cases there will not be a better one. Our skills range from commercial & labour conflicts, to social and civilian conflicts. However we do not get involved in family mediation.
